Join an Affinity Group
ASCA Affinity Groups are small communities of members who share a similar area of interest or identity. Each group is formed based on grassroots interest and needs and offers opportunities for meaningful conversations in safe spaces. ASCA Affinity Groups are self-directed and led by members. Serve on an Ï㽶ÊÓƵCommittee
Committees serve an important role in supporting Ï㽶ÊÓƵproducts and services – from assisting with ethical queries to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. New members are added to most committees every October. Learn more.
Present a Webinar

Speak at the ASCA Annual Conference
Have a great idea for a breakout session you could present at the ASCA Annual Conference? Session proposals are accepted mid-May–mid-August each year.
Become a RAMP Reviewer
Consider using your knowledge of the Ï㽶ÊÓƵNational Model to participate in team-based scoring of RAMP applications during a designated two-day period between November and January. Reviewer interest submissions will be accepted for 2024–25, beginning May 2024. For more details, email Deirdra Williams.
Share Your Expertise on the Ï㽶ÊÓƵMember Community
Consider sharing your expertise on the by responding to member questions in areas as wide-ranging as ethics, groups, interviewing, school counselor/principal relationships and more. If you are already on the Member Community, make it part of your daily habits to check what’s new and what questions other school counselors need answered.
Be a Conference Ambassador
Each spring Ï㽶ÊÓƵaccepts applications for conference ambassadors/volunteers. This volunteer position requires commitment for the full conference and is highly competitive. For more info email Qisti Gitosuputro.
Write for ASCA School Counselor Magazine
We’re always looking for good authors for the magazine. Share your knowledge in a practical/nuts-and-bolts style article in the magazine. Contact Kathleen Rakestraw with a brief outline of your proposed article.
Write for Professional School Counseling Journal
The journal welcomes original manuscripts on school counseling research, practice and contemporary issues in the field. Articles are welcome from both counselor educators as well as practicing school counselors. Learn more.
Become a Reviewer for Professional School Counseling
Professional School Counseling journal is always looking for qualified editorial review board members. Prospective reviewers should have a solid background in school counseling and must have a solid track record of articles published in a refereed publication.
